What the weekend looks like:
Friday evening -
We will have casual drinks at Sherwood.
From 6.30pm - 8pm this is an low-key hang out, so come along to meet some likeminded people.
Saturday - 9 - 5.30pm - Lunch Included
Our morning will be spent with two amazing speakers. In this interview-style chat, we sit down with Alicia Lovrich to hear how she got started in her sports photography career and take a closer look at her incredible experience at the Paris Olympics.
Our second speaker, Sophie Luther is a world class athlete who has moved into event management. Running the NZ Winter games for over 15 years and more recently the penultimate Natural Selection MTB tour, Soph is going to give us a perspective from an event manager on how working with media works for her and how you might be able to be a part of it going forward.
LUNCH - Think extremely yummy lunch created by the talented Sherwood chefs.
Our afternoon will be filled with a panel discussion from a handful of talented and experienced people who will bring varying perspectives to the table.
The panel is made up of both filmers and photographers and we will discuss a variety of subjects with an industry focus. We hope this will be the most collaborative of our events with an open floor for question and answers and an organic flow.

Sunday morning - 8.30am - 1pm
This will be a hands on workshop, so bring your camera!
This interactive session will guide you through a styled lifestyle shoot featuring both a model and curated products. It's the perfect chance to refine your creative process, build your portfolio, and experiment in a relaxed, supportive environment. Sony gear will be available to try out on the day, so you can get a feel for the latest in camera tech. Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just starting out, this is your opportunity to get inspired, get practical, and get creating.
